5K

Our church does a 5K every year and we had fun running it this year. Since Craig and I always wonder what our previous times were I'm keeping a record on here. Craig killed it and came in 3rd place for all men at 21.21 and I was very happy with my 27.02. I think I was about 7th place. For the record it was only 4876 meters long, so we should add a little more time to that. Both girls finished it on their own and my dad pushed the little 2 for a couple laps in the stroller.

Hillsboro Market

We had a great time at Celebrate Hillsboro. This year was much less crowded than the last time we went. The kids liked climbing around the fire truck and ambulance.

 Their favorite thing was the rock wall. I couldn't believe how awesome they did! Even Parker climbed all the way to the top. First the girls did the medium wall, but then both made it to the top of the hard level wall.

 Then they played in the fountain and inhaled some berries...

Jet Boat

We went on a jet boat tour of the bridges in Portland. The kids loved when the boat went fast and they got to take turns sitting by the captain.

 We tried making Parker where this life vest but it was very similar to the "Christmas Story" snow suit. The best was when he tried eating a granola bar and couldn't fit his arm to his mouth :)

 We passed some huge ships that were docked along the river.

Grandparents Weekend!

Craig parents got a great deal on some flights so they came for a long weekend. We checked out the Sandcastle festival at pioneer Square in Portland. We were very excited to see a kid's play area, with shade!

Horse Lessons

We gave Brinley horse lessons for her birthday. She even got to pick a friend to do them with her. She was a good girl and after a littler persuasion picked Kylie.

They have 4 separate, hour long lessons. They brush the horse and pick his hooves out. Then they saddle him and put his reins on.

 Paige enjoys playing in the dirt and Parker has slept through most of both lessons that they've had.

 They get to bathe the horses afterward too! They hose them down and then squeegee him.
