Ape Caves!!

My Brother and his family were in Oregon from Ohio for a couple days and we had a blast being together. We went to the lava caves up by Mt. St. Helens and had a blast. I don't remember going before and they are amazing!! They were a couple miles long, big enough for a group to walk through together and FREEZING cold!!! We weren't prepared for the 42 degrees inside when it was nice and sunny outside and we just brought some dinky little flashlights but it was pitch black inside. At least we'll be better prepared next time. The kids thought that it was alright. They were cold and Brinley made Papa carry her the whole way (see second picture).


Luckily there were fun smaller tunnels at a nearby picnic spot. The kids did alright doing these by themselves.
