Kylie just told me that "Brinley isn't being a very good listener today" and that "Brinley has to go to bed while I get my work done"

Happy Birthday Kylie!!

Happy 3rd Birthday to our big girl!! We had a great party with lots of friends and fun. We had tower building, painting and a pinata decorated by the birthday girl herself!! Thanks for everyone that came and all the birthday wishes from those that are too far away. As you can see, the swelling has gone down in Kylie's face but the bruises have come in. She is such a sweet girl. I never appreciated how well she listened and really cared about making us happy and doing what's right until her little sister got here. Don't worry I love Brinley too but she's more of a normal child. Kylie is such a sweet angel. Don't get me wrong, she has her occasional fits but for the most part she is such a fun and sweet girl that I have a lot of fun hanging out with her everyday!!

I feel like we've fallen off the face of the earth. We've all been sick and have had very little contact with the outside world. Finally we started to feel better on Saturday and Sunday and then BAMM!! I was carrying Kylie down the stairs and slipped and fell backwards. I was holding her toward me so her face was over my shoulder and slammed into the stairs. I was trying to keep her from free falling forward down the stairs and ended up smashing her face into them. we fell down quite a few and then had some major bleeding, a visit to the urgent care, then onto to Pediatric E.R., then a CAT scan, then a facial specialist called in and finally some children's vicodin and anitbiotics and a very very puffy face. When they told me on Sunday night that she's look worse on Monday I couldn't imagine what worse wouldlook like, but now we're seeing it. The bruising color is coming in and the swelling even up to around her eyes. on a better note, she's in very good spirits and did amazing at the hospital with the doctors. She held perfectly still for the CAT scan and let the doctors look at her lip and mouth. We're so proud of her and curious so see how she'll look for her birthday tomorrow!!
